Classy Girl Cupcakes was founded in 2009 by sisters-in-law and best friends Erica Elia and Sara Elia. The idea for the business was born when Erica baked the cupcakes for her own wedding. They were such a hit that friends and family told her she should sell them, and asked her to bake for their weddings and parties. Never one to pass up a good suggestion, Erica realized how much she loved baking and needed a creative outlet to balance her career as a lawyer. With a business background, Sara was the perfect partner to manage advertising, events, and the accounting aspects of the business. Though Sara is not allowed near the mixer yet, Erica is attempting to teach her how to boil water and make toast. Right now Sara excels in her role as official cupcake taster! Classy Girl Cupcakes opened its doors as a retail bakery in November 2010 and now offers 20+ flavors daily in addition to our successful event catering business.
Our mission is to create elegant, delicious cupcakes from scratch. And to take over the world with sugar and happiness.
