About Our Company
Classy Girl Cupcakes was founded in 2009 by sisters-in-law and best friends Erica Elia and Sara Hanson. The idea for the business was born when Erica ended up baking cupcakes for her own wedding. They were such a hit that friends and family told her she should sell them, and asked her to bake for their weddings and parties. Never one to pass up a good suggestion, Erica realized how much she loved baking and needed a creative outlet to balance her career as a lawyer. With a business background, Sara was the perfect partner to manage advertising, events, and the accounting aspects of the business. Though Sara is not allowed near the mixer yet, Erica is attempting to teach her how to boil water and make toast. Right now Sara excels in her role as official cupcake taster!
