Whew! We just finished our biggest, tallest order yet!! Kohl's Cares in partnership with the American Cancer Society commissioned us to bake 6500 cupcakes for the breast cancer walk at the lakefront! 6500 cupcakes is a lot of cupcakes, but we did it!:) We baked vanilla angel food cupcakes with pink and white buttercream, decorated with pink sugar ribbons and pearls. Our Milwaukee cupcake bakery is officially open!:) We are located at 825 N Jefferson Street on Cathedral Square in downtown Milwaukee. Our hours of operation are Monday - Thursday 8am - 6pm, Friday 8am - 7pm, and Saturday 11am - 4pm. Check our Facebook page for updates and daily flavors. OUR BIGGEST NEWS YET!!:)
We are so excited to announce that Classy Girl Cupcakes will be opening a cupcake bakery November 2010 in downtown Milwaukee!! Our cupcake shop will be located at 825 N Jefferson Street on Cathedral Square, between Elsa's and Louise's restaurants. This fantastic location will allow us to serve customers on a daily basis, expand our popular wedding and event cupcake catering, and participate in all of the festivals and events in Cathedral Square such as Jazz in the Park!
We'll be offering many of our 35+ flavors of cheesecake cupcakes on a daily basis in singles, plus several traditional cupcake flavors. We will also be offering brewed Anodyne coffee and Rishi tea to compliment our cupcakes, and plan to introduce espresso drinks in the future. The shop will have a retail component with designer cupcake liners, cupcake decorations, cupcake cookbooks, t-shirts, aprons, and any other fun cupcake related paraphernalia we can find. Some of our goals for the future include on-site cupcake parties, and developing a country-wide shipping service for our cheesecake cupcakes.
As always, we will maintain our very successful
wedding and event cupcake services. As a catering company, we have
catered dozens of weddings and large events and are already booking
into next summer. We offer a full line of services that will expand with
our retail location, such as delivery, setup, and many beautiful options for cupcake display rental. Our shop will continue to offer cupcake delivery service for smaller orders in southeastern Wisconsin. Our bakery will be open Mondays through Thursdays from 8am - 6pm, Fridays from 8am - 7pm, and Saturdays from 11am - 4pm. Eventually we will expand our weekend hours on Saturdays and be open on Sundays as well.
For an invitation to our grand opening party and updates on our store, we encourage you to become a fan of our Facebook page. We will also be the first Milwaukee cupcake bakery with a featured promotion on LivingSocial's soon-to-be-launched Milwaukee site, where we'll be featuring a half price cupcake deal shortly after we open. Classy Girl Cupcakes was lucky to be one of 8 local bakers to compete in the Iron Cupcake:PRO professional cupcake bake off! The contest was part of the Milwaukee Art Museum's After Dark event to celebrate the close of the Andy Warhol exhibit. We baked 1000 cupcakes for the event, and ran out before all of the other bakers! Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us, it was a blast!
