What kind of cakes do you make?
We make round and square layer cakes, which have 3 layers of cake separated by 2 layers of buttercream filling. We only use our homemade buttercream and do not use fondant or gum paste. We do not make sheet cakes, fondant cakes, or complicated carved or sculpted cakes.
Do you stock ready made cakes in your bakery?
We do make several popular cake designs for sale in our bakery case daily. Sizes, flavors, and designs vary, please call or follow us on social media for daily cake offerings available on a first come, first serve basis. Gluten Free and Vegan cakes may be available in our case on a limited basis. You may pre-pay over the phone to reserve an in stock cake for same-day pickup if you prefer. We do not sell slices of cake, only whole cakes.
Do you make smash cakes?
Yes, we make 4″ cakes that have 2-4 servings and are the perfect size for a child’s smash cake or first birthday cake. Smash cakes have 2 layers of cake separated by one layer of filling. Please see Baby Cakes and Birthday Cakes for options.
How much are your cakes, and what sizes do you offer?

Do you make tiered cakes?
Yes, we make two tiered occasion cakes. We can make larger tiered cakes and tiered wedding cakes by request and depending on the availability of our decorators. Larger 3+ tiered wedding cakes are $5-$8 per serving depending on filling and design. Please note we don’t work with fondant or gum paste, only our homemade buttercream. We don’t make sheet cakes, but we do offer plain frosted layer cakes for $4.50+ per serving to supplement a 3+ tiered wedding cake.

Can I order a sheet cake?
No, we do not make sheet cakes. We only make round and square 3 layer cakes. Sheet cakes are typically a single layer of cake with frosting on top, so our cakes are higher quality. We do offer plain frosted layer cakes for $4.50+ per serving to supplement a 3+ tiered wedding cake.
What flavors do your cakes come in?
Lots! Please see Gourmet Layer Cakes for flavors. We use the same scratch made batters for our cakes and cupcakes.
What fillings do you have for cakes?
Layer cakes come standard with buttercream filling that can be flavored or colored free of charge. We can add custom fillings, such as fresh fruit, jam, pastry cream (custard), mousse, whipped cream, or cheesecake filling in any flavor of our cheesecake cupcakes. Custom fillings incur extra charges depending on the size of the cake.
Can I order a custom cake?
Yes! Feel free to browse through the many Anniversary or Cutting Cakes, Baby Cakes, Birthday Cakes, Grooms Cakes, and Holiday and Seasonal Cake designs on our website. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please contact us and we would be happy to work with you to create a custom cake that perfectly fits your occasion.
Can you screen print a picture, logo, or edible image on a cake?
No, we do not offer edible screen printing technology. Our talented decorators can hand pipe a custom design in buttercream with some limitations to detail.
Does coloring the frosting change the taste?
Dark or bright colored frosting that requires a lot of food color does have a slight metallic taste, and is also prone to staining teeth and clothing. We recommend white, chocolate, or pastel colored base buttercream, and saving the darker colors for details or accents. Please note we cannot change the color of naturally tinted frosting, such as chocolate or peanut butter buttercream.
What kind of frosting do you use on your cakes?
We only use our homemade buttercream and do not use fondant or gum paste. Our cake buttercream does have some vegetable shortening in it which makes it smooth and easy to decorate with, while our cupcake buttercream does not contain shortening.
Can you decorate my cake with cream cheese frosting?
Unfortunately we cannot decorate cakes with cream cheese frosting on the outside, as it is more difficult to spread. We can fill your cake with cream cheese frosting free of charge, and we can also add a natural cream cheese emulsion to flavor our cake buttercream if you prefer.
Do you offer different shapes of cakes?
We only make round and square layer cakes. We do not make sheet cakes, or complicated carved or sculpted cakes.
Do you make gluten free cakes?
Yes, many of our cake flavors can be made Gluten Free by special order. You can find our list of flavors here. Click the pulldown menu labeled “Dietary Selection” on each product to see if that flavor is available gluten free. Our gluten free cakes and cupcakes substitute Glutino all purpose flour for wheat flour, which is primarily tapioca and rice flour based.
Do you make vegan cakes?
Yes, many of our cake flavors can be made Vegan by special order. You can find our list of flavors here. Click the pulldown menu labeled “Dietary Selection” on each product to see if that flavor is available vegan. Our vegan cakes and cupcakes substitute dairy and eggs for soy milk, vegetable oil or shortening (soy based), Earth Balance vegan margarine, and either Ener-G egg replacer or applesauce.
Can you make egg free cakes?
Yes, we can make egg free cakes that still contain dairy by special order. Any flavor that can be made vegan can also be made egg free with dairy products.
Can you make cakes that are both gluten free and vegan?
Yes, many of our cake flavors can be made Gluten Free Vegan by special order. You can find our list of flavors here. Click the pulldown menu labeled “Dietary Selection” on each product to see if that flavor is available gluten free and vegan. The best choices for GFV cakes are banana, carrot cake, hummingbird, and almost any chocolate or vanilla based flavor.
Do you make Keto cupcakes or cakes?
Yes, many of our cupcake flavors can be made Keto by special order with a minimum of 6 per flavor. You can find our list of flavors here. Click the pulldown menu labeled “Dietary Selection” on each product to see if that flavor is available Keto. We make our Keto diet-friendly cupcakes with a blend of gluten free almond and coconut flour, erythritol sugar substitute, almond milk, high fat dairy products, and natural flavor extracts. We do not make Keto cakes at this time. Our Keto cupcakes have approximately 2-5 grams net carbs depending on flavor, though nutrition information may vary due the handmade nature of our products. Please take care in consuming Keto products, and consult a medical professional before starting a Keto diet. We are not responsible for any adverse effects of consuming our products.
Keto cupcakes are $5 each with a minimum of 6 per flavor. When a customer places a special order, we may sell the rest of that batch in the bakery. Please call ahead to see if we have any Keto cupcakes in stock. We also make Keto cupcake push pops for $6 each, which can be shipped nationwide with a minimum order of a dozen.
Can you make soy free cakes?
Most of our cakes contain either soy ingredients or sprinkles/decor. We can accommodate soy allergies in limited flavors with modified decor by special order. Please note we cannot make our cakes both soy free and dairy free, as our dairy substitutes contain soy.
I have a food allergy, can I eat your cakes?
We do have peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, egg, and dairy ingredients in our bakery. We take care to separate these ingredients and sanitize baking implements between uses. However, we do not have separate ovens for special dietary products, so we cannot 100% guarantee the environment will be free of allergens. Please note we cannot accommodate soy-dairy allergies or corn allergies at this time.
